The Lord knew people would lose confidence
The Answer is Zion. God will Draw a line.
2 Nephi 30: 10 For the time speedily cometh that the Lord God shall cause a great division among the people, and the wicked will he destroy; and he will spare his people, yea, even if it so be that he must destroy the wicked by fire.
Scriptures also refer to wheat being separated from tares (fake wheat), and good sheep separated from rebellious goats. Also the angels will discern... the good to be taken, and the rest to be "left behind." The Wheat (good) will be gathered into the places (the Lord's barn). This is part of the Church of the Firstborn being formed on earth.
People will repent and believe.
Some of the Gentiles (people of the nations), also the remnant of the Native Americans, Hispanics, and Jews will believe. Righteous poor will receive a blessing. Read 2 Nephi 30.

A new church (group of God's people) will arise
The Lord calls them The Church of the Firstborn and General Assembly of Heaven; they are referenced in a few places in the scriptures by this title (ex: JST Genesis 9, Hebrews 12, D&C 76, D&C 107). Don't go looking for a church called this though. They are also called Zion, Righteous, etc.. These people are discerned spiritually. The Lord will set the church in order (true believers). Leader(s) who are wicked ("appointed" to a position) will fall, die by the will of God. See D&C 85. Likely this will occur not in a time of ease, and will occur due to people's prayers and efforts for things to be made right.
The Lord gave Permission to change out transgressors
The purpose for saying this is, if people CAN do it, if they BELIEVE it, and have courage, changes can be made to help the church be set in order. Infallibility of a position holder has never been a true doctrine. In our civil government, there are checks and balances, 3 branches of government and other rights as a hedge against corruption and tyranny and gross neglect of duty. That system is supposed to work as long as people don't wait too long.
The Lord gave the saints a type of checks and balances in the church. The Doctrine and Covenants is like the Constitution for the church. D&C 107 in particular. Anybody from the highest down to the lowest, and vice-versa, can be called to repentance or can be expelled from their position or even lose their membership. In the governing bodies of the church, each of these groups are equal to each other as a form of checks and balances: First Presidency (all 3 people) = Quorum of the Twelve (all 12 people) = Quorum of the Seventy (all 70+ people) Read the section 107 for details. Also there is a "common council" and then there is the will of the people of the church (common consent). D&C 20:63-66, D&C 26:2. See Also JST Mark 9:46. The Lord wants everyone to know their rights and responsibilities, and that no one, no matter their title in the church, is exempt from these rules. It is mainly the job of the priesthood holders to set things right, but other members can be involved too. When these rules don't work anymore, eventually the Lord will have to come out of his place and deal with it, due to the efforts and prayers of suffering righteous.

A Warning
Summary:
* Repent; Get knowledge and testimony; warn others with mildness but certainty.
* Get physically prepared for hard times. Between you and the Lord, know where your place of refuge is.
* Don't procrastinate (delay) your preparation (spiritual and physical).
* Realize that if you are going to keep covenant with the Lord and be able to be saved (your soul and or your body) and not join the Beast system, you will not be getting any micro-chips or -electronic tattoos from the government or your doctor, nor at any grocery store, or employer etc.. That means you won't be able to participate or receive any benefit from society. So get prepared!
* Alma 30: 60 And thus we see the end of him who perverteth the ways of the Lord; and thus we see that the devil will not support his children at the last day, but doth speedily drag them down to hell.
* Many people will find excuses for not being at "the Wedding Feast" of God. Many will find excuses for not helping build Zion. The opportunity will be lost. We hope it's not you.
Take the plunge and be believing and doing, even if your church leaders or fellow members haven't caught up yet (they are still asleep or procrastinating, for whatever the reason). Ultimately, when the Last Day is here, or your life is over, it will not be your ecclesiastical leader judging you. It will be your God.
2 Nephi 9: 41 O then, my beloved brethren, come unto the Lord, the Holy One. Remember that his paths are righteous. Behold, the way for man is narrow, but it lieth in a straight course before him, and the keeper of the gate is the Holy One of Israel; and he employeth no servant there; and there is none other way save it be by the gate; for he cannot be deceived, for the Lord God is his name.
Coming judgment - Get your rear in gear - prepare and warn others. Babylon falls quickly.
D&C 88: 81,85
81 Behold, I sent you out to testify and warn the people, and it becometh every man who hath been warned to warn his neighbor.
85 That their souls may escape the wrath of God, the desolation of abomination which awaits the wicked, both in this world and in the world to come.
D&C 38: 41 And let your preaching be the warning voice, every man to his neighbor, in mildness and in meekness.

The big collapse IMO is money and everything that surrounds money, whether it's politics, religion, jobs, education, housing, food, whatever. The 10 Virgins, and the Mark of the Beast
Parable of the 10 Virgins - the door was shut - not enough supply to go around - Mark of the Beast -
Matthew 25: 1-13
1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
Oil represents lighting one's path, testimony, but it is also a commodity, practical everyday use. In the Strong's Concordance, it says that the Greek word for wise meant also practical and prudent. In the Israelite teaching, they were always supposed to store up a year's supply of food and supplies (or more) because the fields were supposed to take a sabbatical in the 7th year. Also, when Noah went into the ark, he took one year or more minimum of food, water, and supplies for people and animals. So buy and store up what you can, God can multiply "Manna" but he expects you do to your best.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily, I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Revelation 13: 15-17
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. {Will this image be both spiritual and electronic?}
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: {How will they have ultimate control over commerce and all things that involve money, etc.?}

A number and a mark will be associated with this wicked covenant. You will have surrendered your covenant with the Lord/ /HaShem. In this instance it is the evil force that puts the mark, which will ultimately be a mark/brand of slavery and destruction.
